Welcome to Plumtree School's Website |
| |
The school was opened in its present form by Sally and Neil White in September 1982. The buildings housed the original Church of England village school, closed down by the Local Education Authority some years before. Plumtree is an independent, co-educational primary school with its own nursery. The school is situated in the centre of Plumtree within easy reach of West Bridgford, and surrounding villages to the south of Nottingham. |
| |
The aim of the school is to provide a wide, balanced education relative to the needs and potential of each child. A happy, working atmosphere in small classes allows close individual attention. |

The school has strong links with the village and St. Mary's Church where school services are held. At Plumtree children are encouraged to develop a sense of responsibility and learn to play a worthwhile and meaningful role in the life of the community. |

| |
Children may begin our Nursery at three years old, moving into the Infant Department between the ages of four to five years. The Junior Department caters for children of seven years old and above. |

Plumtree School offers a real alternative to parents seeking a rounded, caring and traditional education for their children. Our School Prospectus is available upon request. Visits to see the school at work are recommended. Parents wishing to know more should contact the Head Teachers. |
