Creativity is central to life at Plumtree School and the study of Art is a key element in developing a pupil’s inspiration, imagination and experimental skills. Art and Design at Plumtree School is taught by an experienced specialist teacher who encourages and promotes pupils’ awareness of the visual world and the cultures that have shaped it through the study of a range of Artists, Art movements and artistic skill.
Through the study of Design and Technology, we encourage our pupils to demonstrate an enterprising attitude and use their knowledge to solve problems whilst developing their analytical, creative and practical skills. The children also take part in Design and Technology based Team competitions, allowing them to apply their skills whilst building on their communication and collaboration techniques.
