Geography is taught under the strand heading of ‘Understanding of the World’ in Nursery and Reception and they include the fun topics of Celebrations, What a Wonderful World, Transport, and Houses and Homes.

In the Infants and Juniors, we cover many topics that include The Local Area, Around the World, Explorers, Rainforests, Volcanos, Rivers, Migration, and Mountains.  Throughout these topics and others, the pupils use a range of media, including; maps, diagrams, globes, and aerial photographs.

These topics enable pupils to develop their understanding of the processes that give rise to key physical and human geographical features of the world and the pupils will collect, analyse and communicate data they have gathered, deepening their understanding of the world.
