At Plumtree School, we believe that digital literacy will help children thrive across all areas of the curriculum.
We have a variety of devices across school to develop children’s competencies with laptops, iPads, Beebots, Microbits, crumbles and other coding kits.
Children have weekly computer science lessons where they will learn about:
How technology helps us
How technology works
Coding, algorithms, debugging and programming skills
Developing logical reasoning skills
Developing competency with a variety of apps and programs
Using external devices such as Microbits and Crumbles
All of this is underpinned with a strong sense of using technology safely and respectfully.
These computing skills are then applied across the curriculum to help children develop in all areas of learning.
